Spring makes an appearance

Mommy's Idea

So yesterday for Thursday's post I wrote about winter and missing my grandkids and the snow on the east coast (well not really the snow) Today I figured I'd tackle spring. My daughter had a half day of school yesterday so after I picked her up we stopped at a nearby park to take some photos of the new season. Now here in Washington we have been having springlike weather pretty much all winter, but that didn't come with all the wonderful things that signal the start of spring that is until this last week. Then with all the new growth sprouting up we have had a frost first thing in the morning for the last three days. Scary with all those new buds out there. Anyway in spite of the frost the days have warmed up and we have had plenty of sunshine and a wonderful opportunity to take some photos and watch the ducks and geese play on the creek. And of course we know what happens when they play in the creek. www.halfpastkissintime.com/

  2. Hi! Popping in from FF. Your pictures are beautiful! :) Washington has always been one of my favorite places. I'll never forget the summer we drove up Mt. Rainier in July and the ladies room was still buried in a snow bank! I was NOT amused! LOL ... well I was ... even took a few pictures ... but then we hightailed it back down the mountain in search of a bathroom!
