Sense His Presence

For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. (Matthew 9:21)

All she did was touch His garment and she was healed. He touched Simon Peter's mothers hand and the fever left her. Just a simple touch, not a loud clanging of drums and wild dancing, just a touch.

Jesus can still heal with just a touch, all we need do is sense His presence in our lives and our fevers are replaced by joy and peace.

Bellieve

If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might saay unto this sycamine tree. Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. (Luke 17:6)

Faith such a small thing that can make the biggest difference in our lives. Pray for more faith, believe God will answer and then wait for His answer. Be sure God will never fail you. All your dreams and hopes in Him will be fulfilled in His time and His way. Believe.

Aim High

Nay in all these things we are more than conquerers through him that loved us. (Romans 8:37)

Aim high. With Jesus at our side there is no way the devil can stand against us. Jesus saves us from all, every doubt, sin, evil, fear. Jesus conquers, Jesus saves, all for us His faithful followers. Aim high and trust in God to scale the mountains with us. For God loves us.

Share All you Have

All things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:18)

A flower blooms in the spring, it never questions, just opens and shares its beauty with all who look upon it. When we share all we have the glories of God will be returned to us in abundance. Don't question, just open a share, be like the flower, share all of your riches. God is good. Praise Him.

Be Healed

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings. (Malachi 4:2)

God wants us to be happy, to live a joy-filled life. He fills his creation with the Holy Spirit, in the sun and the air, He heals us.

Let your inner spirit come in loving contact with the Holy Spirit and He will heal you. Enjoy God's creation and be healed.

Trust Wholly in God

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust. (Psalm 91:4)

Cover me with His feathers, protect us from everything. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Why do we doubt and stand in the way of your work? You died to save us what more proof do we need. We need to let go of our doubts and fears and believe in You absolutely. Jesus is All, Praise God.

Patience

I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret placdes, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. (Isiah 45:3)

Pray and wait. Wait on God. Endure to the end, God will reward your patience. We all want things to happen quickly, but that is not God's plan. When we pray if we do not endure till the end we will be disappointed. Waiting till God's end ensures your salvation.

Don't make a scene

Mary... sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word...Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. (Luke 10: 39, 42)

Mary sat at Jesus' feet. She didn't jump up and down and wave her arms, she didn't scream until He looked at her, she just sat. We don't have to make a scene to get God's attention, we don't have to beg. Just sit and trust, God will hear and see.

Lent: A Season of Hope

Sorry I missed yesterday, had a lot of writing things going on. With the start of Lent yesterday I thought I would post an article that I wrote a few years ago concerning the season of Lent.

When I was a child, I spent the whole year anticipating Christmas and all that came with it. By comparison, Easter was a rather dull holiday after the long boring season of Lent. When I got older, I began to realize the connection between the two holidays and the importance of Lent and the Easter season. Of course, without Christmas and its promise and hope of things to come there would be no Easter. For me, Easter has now become the more important of the two holidays. Through Christ’s passion, death and resurrection, Jesus delivers the promise and fulfills the hope.

Lent helps us prepare to live in the hope and receive the promise. It is the season for reconciliation and renewal. Even more than Advent, Lent offers us an opportunity to reconcile ourselves with Christ and celebrate the glory of God.

We should approach the Lenten season with dignity and sadness, but also with an equal ration of joy and celebration. The resurrection of Christ is a wonderful and glorious thing that God has given us as a gift. Jesus with his sacrifice has paid the ransom for our souls. During Lent, we are traveling on a journey of spiritual renewal. It isn’t an easy journey, but one well worth the effort. For when we reach our final destination, it will be a new life with Christ.

We don’t need to pack much for this journey. A bible and an open mind and heart are sufficient. Our hearts need to be open to God’s message. God sent His Son into the world to die for us so that we could be saved from Satan. Salvation comes when we acknowledge our humanness by admitting we are sinners and sharing the journey to Calvary and the Cross with Jesus. By asking for God’s love and help, we admit our weakness and take on the armor of God. This only happens by accepting, Jesus has come to save us through His crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, so we must give up our sins for him to triumph over evil.

We begin this by praying and reading our bible. We accept Jesus in our life as our savior and companion. We thank God for blessings and help during hard times. We help those in need. You’ve heard all this before, I think. Yet you ask what else can we do? The answer is still the same. Spend time with God everyday. Let Him be a part of your life.

A few years ago, I bought my daughter a teddy bear that had the initials WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) monogrammed on his sweater. This little teddy bear now sits on my desk to remind me every time I need to make a decision about something to stop and think about what I’m doing and ask Jesus what he would do. Jesus is waiting for us to ask, to invite him into our lives. Lent offers the perfect opportunity to extend that invitation. Do it today and start Lent off with Christ in your life. Make this years Lent the one that changes your life.

Ruffled Days

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)

Are you ruffled, at odds with yourself and the world. Maybe it's time to seek the silence and listen for God. We accomplish little when immersed in the bustle and rush of the world. Be calm and seek God in the silence on your most out of control days.

Superheros

There is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. (Job 32:8)

The world is looking for a superhero, someone who will save us from the mess we have created and tolerated. Don't they see their superhero is right in front of them, it is Jesus. He is waiting to inspire us, if we make His work our only aspiration, He will save us. God is the superhero we are all looking for.

He will bring joy.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

God is everywhere, in everything we see and do. If we follow the lead of the Holy
Spirit, He will lead us to eternal life. See God in everything, be concious of Him in every single happening, event and plan. He will bring joy and He will feel your trust and be glad.

Wait on the Lord

Wait on the Lord, and keep his way. (Psalm 37:34)

Wait, how can I wait? I want it to happen now, this minute. However, God wants us to wait on His guidance, His leading. When we move forward without waiting we mess up and delay God's master plan. If we wait on God, He will not give us more than we can handle.

God is the Lifeline

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. (Psalm 61:2)

Call to God. He won't let you drown in the storms of life, but instead He will lift you above the storms and provide the lifeline to survive and overcome. God is that lifeline, call on Him, rely on Him. He is your hope, your foundation. Praise God.

Let Him In

Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)

You may not always hear God speaking to you like you hear a human, but He is speaking to you. Sometimes He uses a baseball bat and other times a whisper, but it's
always through your heart that He speaks. Let Him in.

LeLet patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:4)

The Lord supplies all. We must trust beyond all, that He will provide. We must depend on His divine power only. When we endure in Christ, it is faith tried almost to the breaking point. Trust not man but God.

Turn to the teacher

If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. ( John 7: 17)

Life is our school, God is our teacher. Walk with him, talk with him, learn from him and you will have all you need to join Him in heaven.
Believe God can explain your problems and difficulties, it is all part of his plan for your life. He will explain it better than any human can. Turn to the teacher.

Let God Part II

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. (Psalm 62:11)

Who will be there when I put down my human crutches, when I stop relying on myself? When I let go of human things and open myself up, I give God the opening He needs to do wondorous things in my life. So throw off the accroutements of human dependance and let God reveal His will for me.

Let God

Be not afraid, only believe. (Mark 5:36)

If God wills it, nothing stands before you to impede your path. Your faith and God's will break down any barriers to your unity with him. If you come across a barrier that seems insurmountable it is because God has willed it to be there and protect you from something that would be a mistake for you.

Believe and let God.

Love One Another

This is his commandment... love one another, as he gave us commandment. (1 John 3:23)

Love one another, love everyone, even your enemy. Jesus is the teacher, Jesus is the example. For if we desire to be one in Christ, we must follow His example and love all. There is no room for one who does not love.

Love and recieve God's love, He is waiting for you.

Today is a new day

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3: 22-23)

That sounds pretty good to me, starting every day with a clean slate. God isn't holding on to our list of mistakes, why should we? Don't fret and worry about the past, instead look to the future, strap on your shoes and set your feet on God's path. Today is a new day.
